Last night I heard a commotion coming from the den, where the Old man and woman were watching tv. So I go there and was pleasantly surprised to see the end of a segment from TurnerSouth's
Liars & Legends show (which is very good btw). Yep, our dear old friend
Peter Pan (the one from Tampa, FL) had a segment on the show. The same Peter Pan who's page Wosy and I have spent uncounted hours giggling at. We mainly love his outfits. He's VERY creative. I get the greatest joy from seeing my parent's faces with this utter and complete look of shock on them.
So they sit there, not saying anything with the exception of an occasional under-the-breath muttering of "Damn." And I had to laugh. These moments make life worth living. At the same time, it's a shame somewhat to see how little tolerance people have. Granted, I've laughed at the dude's site. But I give him
props..... because somewhere under his fluffy tutu, he has rock-hard balls of steel. That takes real courage (or insanity) to put yourself out there like that, in public, and live your dream no matter what people say. So Peter man...... rock on. And if I EVER get the urge to dress up as Hook or Tinkerbell or just some tight-wearing superhero/fantasy figure, you'll be my hero.
Of course, if that ever happens........ may the gods help you all. Fat people are just NOT MEANT to wear tights and tutu's. Except for the hippos from
Fantasia. They were sexy. But alas, no one will be seeing my plump pooosie. heh.
